A Home Sauna Can Nourish the Skin and Relax the Body
October 7th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedThere aren’t a lot of people who have enough time to relax in a sauna following a session at the gym. Even fewer of us have access to a sauna, period. So how do you enjoy the benefits of a sauna if you can’t go to a sauna? Bring the sauna to you!
A home sauna is a great addition to any home. It’s convenient and guaranteed to get lots of use, unlike that treadmill that’s gathering dust. It’s a worthwhile investment and it’s guaranteed to be enjoyed by all the family. In addition to being a pleasant and relaxing experience, there are also quite a number of health benefits to be had from a home sauna.
A sauna is a small room that is specially designed to be heated to very high temperatures, in order to induce sweating and offer significant health benefits. There are actually two different types of sauna that you can choose from, which are a steam sauna or a dry sauna.
Great Benefits
If you feel like your skin looks dull or tired then a home sauna could be a great way to restore a healthy glow to your skin. A lot of the time any skin problems we have are related to the toxins in our body. Washing your face with a cleanser only penetrates a superficial layer of the skin.
If you want skin that’s deep down clean, a home sauna could be just the answer you’re looking for. It can stimulate the lymphatic system and help to eliminate toxins that tend to show up as dull or problem skin.
Start your home sauna skin cleansing session with a workout. A light and easy workout is just fine. As long as it increases your heart rate a bit and you get a little sweaty. Once you have worked up some sweat, get into your home sauna and stay there for fifteen minutes.
Don’t spend more than fifteen minutes at a time in the sauna; take a break for a few minutes, then go back in, aiming for forty five minutes in total. After each session stand under the shower for a few minutes so you cool down. It’s important that you keep drinking water while you’re going through this skin treatment so you stay hydrated.
The appearance of your skin will be greatly improved, and you’ll likely enjoy better health and wellbeing in general. You’re likely to discover that you are more relaxed after spending some time in the sauna. It is a great way to ease stress if you’ve had a long day in the office and need a way to unwind and forget about all the annoying things in your day.

Top Anti Wrinkle Creams For Younger Skin
October 6th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedWhy does it feel like you need a bunch of different anti wrinkle creams just to keep your skin healthy? I know it seems that way more and more. After all, as we get older we develop skin imperfections such as lines, wrinkles, darkened skin under the eyes, crow’s feet, skin that sags and skin discoloration and more. It requires a number of products designed for different needs to deal with each of these skin care issues.
Would you believe that a single skin care product could do the work of many wrinkle creams? Recently I searched high and low before I found a remarkable product that claims to be the only all-in-one anti aging skin care treatment around. I know that sounds almost too good to be true. But it’s important to note, upon taking a look at their website it appears there may be more to this anti-wrinkle cream than meets the eye.
This might surprise you, I discovered that many of their clients include some of Hollywood’s finest. Those who work in the spotlight and on the runway alike seem to have the same anti-aging secret. It seems to me that if someone who’s career is based on the way they look is fond of this anti aging skin care product, it’s probably worth a try.
Here’s what’s great about it… it starts working fast and starts peeling away the years in just a few moments of your first time applying it. Now, I’m not suggesting that all your skin problems are completely gone just yet. It simply means that it contains an instant lift of sorts to help you look better right away.
After it’s natural formula starts working on your skin, it’s all over for wrinkled skin, bags under the eyes, blotchy skin and other signs of aging. You see, this remarkable formula uses six of the most effective, scientifically proven skin restoring ingredients. While these anti-aging warriors are a nightmare for your wrinkles, they’re completely safe to use. And, they’ll make such a difference in your skin’s appearance that you may be mistaken for 10 or more years younger than your actual age.
And, let’s face it. While there are reasons we can use to justify our desire for young-looking skin, such as making a good first impression at an interview or during a high-profile engagement, there’s really just one reason to use this stuff. We want to look our best and this anti aging skin care treatment can help us look younger than we have in years.

The Benefits Of Natural Skin Care Remedies
October 5th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedOrganic skin care
“If it can be done naturally, why go for artificial means” - this is the basic premise on which ‘organic skin care’ works. Organic skin care is the most natural way of ‘skin care’. In fact, ‘organic skin care’ was probably the first one to be used by man when it first woke-up to the needs of his skin. ‘Organic skin care’ is not only friendlier to skin, but also inexpensive. If exercised in the right way, organic skin care can prevent the occurrence of a lot of skin disorders and can help keep your skin healthy and young-looking for a much longer time.
Organic fruits and vegetables are the most popular things on organic skin care routines e.g. cucumber is very common in organic skin care routines. Turmeric, apple, papaya, ginger are others that find a wide use in organic skin care routines. These organic materials have a very refreshing and vitalizing effect on your skin. Almost every skin care book/guide has section on organic skin care (including the actions of various fruits and vegetables on skin). So choose the ones that are more suitable for your skin type and start experimenting with them until you finally select the ones that are most suitable for inclusion in your organic skin care routine. It’s important that you use fresh organic fruits/vegetables. Don’t try to utilise the rotten ones for your skin, their only place is the garbage bin.
Milk is known to posses good cleansing properties; in fact, the name of some skin care products contains the word ‘milk’ in them. A combination of milk with ground oatmeal acts as wonderful cleanser.
Ground oatmeal is especially good for oily skins and is a popular ingredient in organic skin care regimen. It is used in various combinations e.g. with egg, honey, milk and fruits, for preparation of organic facial packs.
Wheat germ is another ingredient in organic skin care procedures. It is rich in vitamin E and is known for its exfoliation as well as moisturising properties. Wheat germ, in various combinations with other organic materials, is used to prepare facial masks for normal and dry skin types. Wheat germ oil is another way in which wheat germ is used for organic skin care.
Yogurt and sour cream are other organic materials that are popular for their exfoliation and moisturising properties.
Use of organic honey is also popular in organic skin care procedures. It helps in retention of moisture and helps impart a glowing look to skin.
Rose water takes its place as a toner in organic skin care routines. Lavender water is popular too.
‘Organic skin care’ uses combinations of various organic materials that complement each other and enhance each other’s effectiveness. Moreover, these combinations are also helpful in over-riding the harmful effects (if any) of various organic materials that form them.
Organic skin care is really an art that, once perfected, can give wonderful results in a very cost effective manner.

Helpful Skin Care Tips
October 4th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedIf you want to know how to get rid of breakouts, or how to prevent them, or even if you just want to know how to maintain a clear and healthy complexion, these skin care tips are just what you need to put your best face forward. Read on to find out you can have the best skin at any age, no matter what your skin type.
First of all, there are some things that everyone needs to do in order to get–and keep–great skin. Drinking plenty of water every day (at least half a gallon) is a great way to flush impurities out of the system, since problems with the liver and kidneys can cause breakouts. Water can also give dry skin more moisture, and can give oily skin just the right moisture balance.
This is one of the skin care tips that most people miss–get plenty of sleep every night! Most people have a hard time getting enough rest, but at least 7 hours of sleep can help the skin to renew itself and ‘destress’ which can reduce and heal blemishes. Rest is one of the best skin care regimens out there, so in addition to staying hydrating, get your sleep in whenever you can.
Herbal skin care, as opposed to over-the-counter cosmetics, may also help your skin to get that healthy glow that we all want. Bergamot oil adds a great shine and luster to the skin (as well as a great smell) so you can use it right out of the shower. You can also use tea tree oil on the face and body to get rid of bacteria and reduce breakouts on the skin. Other natural skin care products, such as lotions and face washes made from fruit extracts, oatmeal, and shea butter, are also great for the skin, since they provide moisture and exfoliation without being too harsh on the skin.
Last but not least, moisturizing the skin every day is one of the skin care tips you can’t do without. Even if you have oily skin, you should still moisturize, so that your skin can renew itself after cleansing. And, always remember to use a moisturizer with an SPF of at least 30, no matter what your skin type. Even in the winter time, a good moisturizer with sun protection will help your skin to fight breakouts and the effects of aging on a daily basis.

Home Skin Care Tips
October 3rd, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedA lot of people use a variety of skin care products to ensure they maintain healthy, younger looking skin. However, there are certain things that can also be done at home during daily activities to take care of your skin. Most people associate skin care with products and regimes to take care of the facial skin. Consequently, there are some major areas of skin that are overlooked when buying, making or using skin care products.
The part of your body most affected by poor skin care habits is the hand. The skin on your hands may become rough and hard and can also show wrinkles and age. There are several reasons for this occurrence.
Washing dishes with bare hands can adversely affect your skin, increasing the signs of aging or wear. The liquid used for washing dishes usually contains alkaline which affects the acidity of your skin. The ph value of skin makes your skin acidic and while washing dishes with alkaline, your skin loses the acid covering that is meant to protect it. Try to use a soap that has a low level of ph or does not contain alkaline. Of course, the simplest way to take care of your skin while washing dishes is to wear gloves.
You should also brush your skin daily which helps in stimulation of your blood flow through the body. Exfoliation of your skin takes place and provides encouragement for new skin cells to start growing. You can use a brush that is made up of natural bristles or an exfoliating cream or soap. It’s advisable to start brushing your skin from your feet and move upward, directing blood flow toward the heart. Be careful not to brush or scrub your skin too vigorously or you may do more harm than good. It is also helpful to rinse your body with cold water to stimulate or maintain good blood flow.
Cellulite refers to fats that push through the cell walls and become visible through the skin. When brushing or washing your skin, try to focus on the areas with more cellulite as the friction will help break down the fat cells. Maintain a diet that contains plenty of leafy vegetables and fresh fruits and avoid junk food whenever possible. Many of the natural ingredients in fruits and vegetables are excellent for any kind of skin care.
You should also be careful to use sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher any time you are outside. Caring for your skin should be a daily routine that does not require much extra effort. Keeping these few points in mind, home skin care can undoubtedly prove to be highly beneficial and quite simple really.

Skin Care And Anti Aging Skin Care For The Man In Your Life
October 3rd, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedUs guys don’t seem to care much about our skin do we? Aferall, we have to deal with stress related problems like aching backs and hernia. Yeah, we’re too macho to worry about skin care aren’t we? Well, think again guys!
I started thinking about my skin (at least my face) a few years back when my wife noticed I was “looking older.” Yeah, nice of her to say that! In addition, I noticed my skin felt greasy after a long day at work. It was time to start caring.
Here are some of the basics of men’s anti aging skin care:
It starts with cleansing. Now, don’t go grabbing that same yellow bar you use to wash your hips! Water soluble cleansers are preferred for the face men! Cleansing helps remove the dirt, grease and pollutants from the skin and helps in preventing pore clogging. Clogged pores give your face a sour smell! Yuck!
Cleansing should be done at least once per day before bedtime, even better if it is done twice a day. These days, they come in nice manly scents too.
In addition to face washing, there is the dreaded face shave. Shaving foam or gel and after shave lotions are essential. Serious ‘man skin care’ requires a proper selection of shaving related equipment and products.
One of the main considerations in choosing shaving products should be your skin type (since the degree of oiliness differs from person to person). I prefer the shaving gels over creams or foams. The gels seem to prepare my skin better and are easier to spread in my thick stubble.
As far as after shaves, some people can’t stand ones that are alcohol based, while others find them cooling and soothing. After shaves come in liquid and cream form. Honestly, you have to just try different ones to find what works best for you.
The next piece of the male skin care puzzle is the use of good quality razor. Try the triple or even quadruple bladed razors to get a smooth shave. Besides these products and equipment, it is also necessary that you use them properly. Be gentle when using your razor. Do not scratch it against your skin; use a soft and smooth action (after all it’s a matter of removing hair, not the skin itself). In addition, a cold razor on warm skin will give the smoothest, bump-free shave available. Try putting your razor in the freezer for an hour before you use it!
Male skin is generally thicker and oilier, owing to larger pores and more active sebaceous glands. However, due to regular shaving, the skin can get dehydrated quite easily. Hence moisturizers part an integral part of male skin care.
Moisturizing gel or cream should be applied after your nightly facial cleansing. (are you getting all this?) Moisturizers should be patted gently over the face and massaged gently using upward strokes. Some facial moisturizers also contain anti-aging ingredients that can keep your skin looking younger longer.
Even better, you can find skin care gift sets in all your favorite manly scents. With Christmas coming up, all the online stores will be carrying a variety of pre-packaged skin care gift sets.
So to sum it up, being a man doesn’t mean letting your face sag into old age. Take care to use the right cleansers, shaving products and creams and your skin will thank you, and so will your wife!
