Anti Aging Beauty Products in Your Kitchen
May 22nd, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedDid you realize there are things in your own kitchen that can substitute for expensive antiaging beauty products from a department store? That’s right – in your kitchen you have fruit, baking soda, honey, oil, sugar….maybe even aloe vera. Let’s take a look at the uses of each of these anti aging health and beauty products.
Antiaging Beauty Products For Your Skin
When it comes to dry skincare, honey is king. Honey has been used in health and beauty products for years as a humectant, meaning it helps the skin retain moisture. If you mix honey with milk, it can work as a skin moisturizer and cleanser. Just mix a tablespoon of honey into cold milk and apply it to your face with a cotton ball. You can also use it on your neck, and arms. Leave it for about two minutes, apply it again, and then rinse thoroughly. This natural anti aging treatment will leave your skin smooth and glowing. If you mix honey with olive oil and lemon juice, it will be a great skin moisturizer/toner to tighten the facial area.
If your skin is troubled with blemishes, apply a bit on toothpaste (paste, not gel type) right on the pimple leave it on overnight. Within a few days, the blemish will be gone. Another method is to mix an equal amount of baking soda and water, forming a paste that can be put on the pimple. If you let it sit until it is dry before rinsing off, it will help dry up the pimple.
Another anti aging treatment for your skin is to grind rice in your blender, mix with water until it makes a paste. Apply a generous amount of the paste to your face and neck, and let it dry while you relax. Rinse it off well. That rice paste just worked as a homemade scrubber, getting rid of the dead cells on the surface of your skin.
Not only are product’s from the kitchen much cheaper than their cosmetic counterparts, but they are less likely to cause irritation. They are safe and effective, and much less likely to cause you to develop skin problems. So experiment with them – try them on your own skin and see – you might love the beautiful results!

Exfoliation Provides Important Anti Aging Skincare Benefits
May 20th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedWhether you’re just beginning to learn about the ins and outs of caring for your face or you are intimately familiar with everything you can use to make your skin look its very glowing best, one thing that you should have a good working knowledge of is exfoliation. Essentially, exfoliating is the process where dead skin is removed from the surface of your skin. When the dull dead skin is removed, your skin will achieve a healthy glow.
Along with the instant gratification of smoother and softer skin derived from exfoliation, there are other benefits to be had. Many times a bothersome skin condition will go away after following a consistent skincare program including an exfoliating product or technique. And of course, exfoliation provides the obvious anti-aging benefits we’re all after.
While skin exfoliation typically brings to mind something you physically do to your skin, it’s important to note that the skin does exfoliate itself naturally as well. However, various environmental and lifestyle issues tend to slow this natural process making it essential for most people to do some exfoliation on their own.
Aging skin tends to regenerate a bit slower than youthful skin which is due in part to a delayed exfoliation process. In addition, combination skin and oily skin types often experience a slower rate of natural exfoliation than those with normal healthy skin.
Although the majority of people can and should exfoliate their skin, there are some cautions to be aware of. If you have ultra sensitive skin or a specific skin condition, take care and consult with your dermatologist before changing your skincare routine. You may even find that gentle exfoliation is just what the doctor orders!
Many manual exfoliation and microdermabrasion products are available for home use and require gently rubbing a formula onto the skin to cause friction. Typically you’ll notice immediate results with these products but may need something stronger after the first few treatments.
Chemical exfoliants are widely available both over the counter and through your dermatologist. They come in gel, cream or serum form and should be used on clean skin. Some of the most popular exfoliation products include alpha hydroxy acids, or AHA’s. AHA’s are derived from fruits and like the manual solutions, work to remove dead skin cells from the skin. You can find several varieties and brands on the market and most provide excellent benefits to your skin.
If you’re looking for a low-maintenance option that will make your face look and feel great, consider exfoliating. While it used primarily on the face, almost every part of your body can benefit from having the dead skin sloughed off, so don’t delay! Make this easy process a part of your routine today!

Natural Anti Aging Skin Care Products
May 10th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedA natural anti-aging skin care product implies that the skin care product has been created with ingredients from nature. A natural ingredient may be included in the formula or the product is made entirely with biological ingredients. Some other skincare products are different because, the components in these products may be synthetic, industrial grade, toxic or otherwise unpleasant.
The problem with the harsh and synthetic ingredients that are used in other skin care products is that the skin will assimilate what is put on it. Whenever you put synthetic, industrial grade, toxic and harsh chemicals on your face, they will soak into your skin.
Indeed numerous synthetic and harsh chemicals are used in personal care products, and according to research information it is unknown what the long-term effects will be. A few ingredients, such as phthalates and petroleum-based components out of thousands of harsh ingredients, have gained public notice. In many cases, the personal care chemicals are being applied as part of a daily routine for most people.
Hair shampoos, soaps, cleansing bars, lotions, creams and makeup are all instances of skin care products that typically have harsh ingredients in their formula. When you select a natural skin care product as an alternative to these chemical laden formulas, you are choosing a product that will be safer and milder to use on the body
The natural ingredients in natural antiaging skincare products can range from natural food-grade ingredients, herbs, essential oils, natural soap, vegetable, waxes, floral waxes, beeswax, resins and other plant parts. Other food grade ingredients that can also be found in natural antiaging skin care products include oils, grains, salts, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and vitamins.
When you use harsh chemicals on your skin, whatever is not absorbed by your skin will go down the drain when you shower or take a bath. If it doesn’t go down the drain, it will dry on your skin and dissipate into the environment. By utilizing a natural skin care product, you are reducing the amount of potential harsh chemicals that enter the environment.Naturally these products have many benefits for you and the environment. Not only are they natural skin care products, but they also positively enhance personal and environmental results.

It is up to you to decide if you want to go the chemical way or the natural way personally natural is always best
